Research has proven that students' achievements correlate with the skills they are taught throughout their educational journeys. To that end, I would like the classroom that my students enter to be rich in literacy activities and content learning. Therefore, I am asking that you sponsor these students materials so that they can become 21-century learners- learners that have the skills needed to pose and answer questions, debate options, and solutions, and analyze results. I believe these requested books and the Brain-Pop subscription will give my students some much needed tools to succeed. Reading materials that I'm asking for include one Bash Science set, and copies of Alternative Fuels/Think Green, Generation Us: The Challenge of Global Warming, and Forensics. I also seem to need calculators every year when we begin to go over conversions. We'll need these Texas Instruments TI-30XII Scientific Calculators.
