Digging Deep
Funded May 6, 2023This is so exciting! We cannot wait to receive our items that will help us literally and figuratively dig deeper into the soil and explore the world of agriculture.
My students world will be become a little bigger and new ideas, career possibilities, and hobbies may be introduced to their lives. Your impact will go deeper, and last longer, than you know!”

Funded Feb 1, 2023My students have been THRILLED to have a large carpet space for our classroom! Currently, I have several students sprawled out completing math work. The carpet is often used for small group collaboration where students can comfortably sit to work with each other.
It also allows for the whole class to sit and relax for story time. They love listening to stories and they appreciate a change from the hard chairs at their desks. When we are able to watch the occasional movie, they love to stretch out.
A carpet may seem like a small thing but it creates a comfortable, cozy, home like atmosphere that makes learning more enjoyable.
The organizing bins have been super helpful in maximizing our space and helping with our station set ups! Thank you with the utmost sincerity and appreciation we have.”

Growing While Growing!
Funded Apr 7, 2022My students are greatly enjoying our grow cart! The first "crop" they have planted is chive seeds. Once they are harvested, they will cut them up and add them to baked potatoes that we will eat in class.
They were so excited to learn how to use a seed starter tray. They added their own soil, seeds, water, and name stick. For mother's day, they will grow flowers for an important lady in their life. Watching the vegatable and plant life cycles firsthand is beneficial. Growing and tending the vegetables and plants is even more impactful! Over 90% of my students reported that this was their first experience growing anything.
These lessons and skills will hopefully spill over into their home life. Their future career choices and lifestyles could be positively impacted with new doors opening for them as well. Your generosity and support has a magnificant and long lasting ripple. Our most warmest and sincere thanks to you!”

Funded Sep 23, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donations! The colorful, braided, circle carpet with mathcing pillow adds splashes of happiness as well as comfort to our classroom! The individual, forest carpet circles allow students to sit on the floor for small groups. It keeps them from getting dirty or from sitting on a cold, hard floor. Another huge benefit is that the carpet circles allow them to safely space out yet collaborate. That makes such a positive impact on their learning!
The individual white boards and markers have also allowed for safer, more sanitary, engaged learning. My students and I are so appreciative of your thoughtfulness and considertion.”

Funded Sep 3, 2020Our virtual year was quite an experience! We were thankful for the technology that allowed us to meet and learn daily. However, I wanted to give the students as much of a traditional classroom experience as I could despite our circumstances. A good read aloud is a staple in an elementary school classroom. Instead of watching and listening to a story online my students were able to listen and watch me read the books you provided for us!
They were able to see my facial expressions and look at the pictures in detail. We were able to stop and discuss important parts of the stories. The majority of the provided books were based in math and science. This helped them to relate to the content being introduced and expanded their knowledge of the material.
As we are going back in person, the books will now be part of our classroom library. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.”

Funded May 17, 2019Your generous contributions have brought huge smiles to the faces of my students. Aside from making them feel special, you have made a real impact on their learning.
Many of the students I teach are not regularly given experiences such as outings to science museums. Their homes are not literature rich nor do they have science kits to use for experiments. Therefore, the hands on projects and kits that you helped to supply will greatly enhance their learning!
Exposure to more information and the ability to create it and demonstrate it on their own is a major component to understanding and retaining concepts. Giving them materials to delve into topics hands on is a great start to closing the gap between my students and those who are taught in areas with more resources and opportunities.”
