I teach at the lowest income school of my district and have a rambunctious class. I attempt to connect any academic learning I can so that no time is wasted in my classroom. Each student is offered free breakfast and free lunch at my school, but few of them also come to school without have eaten any dinner. It is difficult to push and challenge my students to the best of my abilities when they are concerned about when their next meal will be.
