Listen, Design and Create!
Funded Nov 15, 2018Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom. My students have been using their headphones daily and enjoy reading their stories on Seesaw and collaborating with one another. They are also able to concentrate on their work without the distracting noise of their peer's iPad.
The Lego Boost robots were a big hit in my classroom. We have already created the robot and are currently building the cat. They love using coding to make their robot move and talk. It is an engaging way to introduce my students into the art of computer science.
With donors like you, children are able to have experiences that they would not normally have. You truly make a difference and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Funded Nov 9, 2017Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom project. The impact has been amazing! My students have enjoyed the wobble balls and fidget bands. It has allowed them free movement and the ability to get their wiggles out in a less distracting manner. My students have been able to choose between what flexible seating they enjoy. Some options are the stability ball, wobble cushion, and flexibility bands. Their needs are different, so it's wonderful to have the different options.
The sensory toys were a hit in my calm down center! The students enjoyed the different textures and toys to play with. The option of going to a quiet, nonthreatening place to calm down is helpful for my students to self monitor their emotions.
The addition of the 2 mini ipads has made our one to one dream a little bit closer. We have already created an Imovie about for our animal reports, participated on the Hour of Code, and have used many exciting programs to increase our math fluency and reading skills.
Thank you again for helping my student reach their potential. Without donors like you, it would be difficult to purchase items like these for my classroom”

Funded Mar 7, 2017Thank you so much for donating to our classes STEAM lab. They have been busy integrating science, technology, engineering, art and math into their daily lives. They have used our new products to create different challenges and design ways to improve the world around them.
I students have really enjoyed the new equipment and are excited every time that they are allowed to use it. They really enjoy working with the Ozobots creating patterns and programming them to go in different directions. The students also enjoy creating different objects with the tangrams. We have even created stories to go along with our creations.
It's amazing how students who are reluctant to learn in a traditional setting, thrive within the area of STEAM. They are able to be creative and imaginative and succeed. Once again, thank you for your support in implementing STEAM into my classroom.”

Funded Nov 23, 2016Thank you so much for the funding of the math literature and chapter books for my classroom. We have already begun to use the books to supplement our learning of our math standards.
Most recently, we read Grandfather Tang's Story and used tangram's to create different shapes. Tangram's help students with spacial relationships and students were able to use problem solving strategies within this activity. My students loved the story and activity so much, they didn't want to go to recess. We decided to put the book into our STEM center so they can continue their learning and challenges later.
We are using our chapter books in our book club. Students have been enjoying reading and sharing their reading strategies together. This will not only make reading enjoyable, but will also help them increase their fluency and comprehension.
I can't thank you enough for helping my class receive these much needed resources. Please know that by reaching into your pocket, you have helped create a literature rich environment for not only my students this year, but also for future students as well.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Owen
