Cool and in Control Bulls
Funded Oct 17, 2023To My Donors:
Thank you so much for your generous gifts of games and counseling tools for my students. Your generosity and kindness have allowed me to use different tools to helpl my students open up during the sessions and get them to be more engaged. My students look forward to playing the games or to use the fidegit toys and coloring books when upset to calm down. These resources keeps them positive and encouraged when frustrated and angry. It may seem like it should not be necessary but these students have a difficult time with emotional regulation and it helps them to get their emotions and feelings under control easier. Further, this allows them to get back to the business of learning faster. These students depend on donors like you to make a difference in their lives.
Also, your contributions of counseling tools help keep my students motivated to come to counseling sessions and discuss things they do not want to talk about or focus on. Again, donors like you allow me to continue my daily work of student success and continue to remind me that these students can be great when given support.”
With gratitude,

Motivate Them to Fly High
Funded Jul 3, 2023Thank you so much for your generous gifts for my students. Your generosity and kindness have allowed me to reward my students for attending school daily and pushing them towards academic success. These students look forward to daily/weekly incentives to get through difficult and challenging tasks. These incentives keep them positive and encouraged about school. It may seem like it should not be necessary but these students at times come to school hungry or mentally and academically discouraged. Any incentives whether tangible or verbal helps them to keep pushing through to achieve their goals and to get better grades in school. These students depend on donors like you to make a difference in their lives.
Additionally, your contributions of snacks and games helps to keep my students motivated to come to counseling sessions and discuss things that they ordinarily do not want to talk about or focus on. Again, donors like you allow me to continue my daily work of student success and continues to remind me that these students can be great when given support.”
With gratitude,
Dr. Owusu
