Enhance Our Learning Experiences

Funded Nov 20, 2015

When our packages arrived right after the Thanksgiving holidays, my students can't wait to find out what's inside the boxes. While they were waiting for me to open the boxes, they had a little fun with the wrapping bubbles. They asked me when can we use the materials in class.

Once each activity was introduced and taught, students enjoyed using these games/activities on a daily basis. A few students who have difficulties learning the basic numbers 1-10 were able to use the dot-to-dot markers to show the quantities of a given number. They enjoyed using the play dough to make both uppercase and lowercase alphabet letters.

Our class have been using learning centers for beginning sounds and blends. The older ones (2nd graders) can help the younger ones to figure out which picture tile to put on the cards. 2nd graders have been practicing listening to the beginning blends and matching the pictures to the pattern, too. We also just started to use the addition and subtraction bingo games with 1st and 2nd graders. One of my 1st grade students loved to play the number bingo game. He asked about it daily whenever we completed other classwork.

We cannot thank you enough for supporting us in learning things in a fun and engaging way. Students love and learned how to use these materials, I see the smile on their faces when they know how to play the game and got the right answer. Thank you for being a part of our learning process!”

With gratitude,

Ms. Liu
