Teaching Easel For Math And Writing!
Funded Jan 22, 2018Thank you for funding our project. Our materials have been used everyday since the day that we received them! Scholars enjoy writing on the easel and doing calendar math. This has also tremendously reduced the amount of anchor chart paper that I use because we now use the easel for whole group instruction. Our whole group area is much more organized and student centered! We have also been able to use our dry erase markers in all of our literacy and math workstations for various different activities. Funded Sep 20, 2017I want to thank you for your immense generosity! These items have been essential to our success these past few weeks. We have had enough materials for my scholars to complete their projects and work. Having these materials fully stocked improves our classroom management because when they run out of something they know to grab another item and replenish! So far I am not worried about running out of glue sticks!
My scholars were extremely excited when they saw all of the materials and they could not wait to use the items.
They especially love the dotting markers! We have been learning to count and represent numbers up to 10 and we have been using these dotting markers to represent numbers on ten frames. It has definitely improved student engagement. One of my students even told me that he did not want to go home because he was enjoying the activities and work.

Building Efficient Mathematicians in Kinder!
Funded Oct 26, 2017I am beyond grateful for your immense generosity. Having these materials in my classroom will be impactful to student learning. Due to a low budget for our school I never thought that I would be able to provide my students with these awesome workstations!
My students were extremely excited! When I showed them the materials they could not wait to use them. On the second day of having these resources I am happy to say that we have incorporated all of the activities into our math workstations. Their excitement motivated them to learn how to use the materials efficiently.
I enjoyed seeing how my students worked with each other to fully develop their math strategies.
I cannot wait to see how much my students grow due to this everyday reinforcement. Thank you once again!”

Spanish Books and CDs

I want to express my sincere gratitude from my scholars and I. Your generosity has provided it us with essential reading materials to improve our overall reading ability and practice.
There is always a limited availability of Spanish materials and resources for bilingual classroom so it is amazing to have this vast collection of books and Cd's. My scholars absolutely love all of the books and get very excited each week as I change the books weekly. They cannot wait to see what book they will read each week during their literacy rotations!”

Kindergarten Writing Center!

I want to thank you all on behalf of my scholars and I. Your immense generosity has allowed us to have many resources that are sure to help my students become better writers.
All of the supplies are being used in our writing center during our literacy block. Scholars are learning how to be independent by having many materials to choose from. They have the liberty to choose the activity that they want to do when writing.
My scholars are also loving their writing journals! They were very excited when I showed them the journals that they would be using during our writing time. We are also using the vocabulary journals to write alliteration sentences so that scholars learn to identify initial sounds.
Overall these writing supplies have been immensely beneficial. We cannot thank you enough!”

Listening Center for Reading!
Funded Oct 27, 2015My students and I are extremely thankful for your generosity. The listening center has had an immense effect in our literacy block. My students are always very excited about going to this literacy center because, although many are not reading independently, when they use the listening center they feel very capable of reading and they are on task and are practicing their reading skills at all times. My students love the books and they love to sit in a group and share the books with their classmates. After they read and listen to a book together, I often hear them discussing the book right after!
This has definitely made my low readers more confident in their reading capabilities because they are able to hold a book, follow along and understand the story. Because of donors like you my students are now more motivated to read and I am sure that we will reach our goals so that they are ready for first grade. Thank you once again!”
