I have 22 students in my first grade classroom. They are ambitious and focused during the day. They love to learn! My school is a Title One school located in Philadelphia. Eighty-nine percent of the students at my school are economically disadvantaged. All students receive a free breakfast and lunch daily. Our classroom has limited space and resources, so having a writing center would provide the students with a quiet space to focus on writing independently.
