Because my students do not currently have access to microscopes, they are only able to examine the world around them with the naked eye. When we discuss cells, and other microscopic concepts, they are only able to work in the abstract. With these microscopes, not only will they be able to more deeply examine the world around them, but they will also be able to incorporate tech by recording video and taking photos of their examinations and sharing them with others. My students thrive on modeling. They need a good example of the high expectations we all expect in order to succeed. The elmo will help me to better model work for my students so they may know what is expected, build their skills, and carry those skills into the future.
