Thank you so much for donating to my classroom project "Building, Reading and Creating. My students absolutely love the new Steam materials and books. The Steam materials provide a fun and meaningful way to learn and create in the classroom. The non-fiction books have added a variety of topics to read about in our classroom library. Funded May 4, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom project. My students and I are so excited about receiving a classroom subscription to Scholastic News. These magazines are so fun to read and keep us up to date on what is happening in the world around us.

Scholastic magazines are a great way for my students to practice reading and enjoy what they read. The stories printed are about topics that are of interest to them. They learn about animals, sports, games, shows, etc. They also get to keep their magazines which they love.

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom project. The students absolutely loved receiving the package containing the five Amazon tablets. My students have had so much fun with our new technology.

These tablets have allowed my students to download educational apps that make learning fun. They can get on our school website and access programs that help them with grade level standards. They can also use the tablets to play age appropriate games during recess or free time.

Thank you again for allowing my students to have the opportunity to learn interactively with brand new technology. You have made my fourth grade students very happy kiddos.”

  • I Like To Move It, Move It

    Funded Nov 20, 2019

Thank you so much for the flexible seating and playground equipment. The flexible seating has allowed the students to have a comfortable place to sit while completing assignments and reading. The playground equipment allows the students to run, jump, play games and get plenty of exercise every day.

When my students saw the boxes arrive they were so excited. They couldn't wait to see what was inside. They have enjoyed helping get the seats ready and they love getting to have a comfortable place to sit. The playground balls have been a huge hit. The kids grab them up at the beginning of recess and love playing with their peers. The bean bags, jump ropes and cones allow the students to make up fun games and get creative with their exercise.

Thanks again for being so willing to help out my classroom. My students will continue to use the flexible seating to make learning more comfortable and the playground equipment to make playing outside more enjoyable. We are so appreciative that so many people value education.”

When the materials arrived, everyone was super excited to open the package and see the new journals and reading activities. We use the journals every week during writing and the reading activities are used in stations and also during guided reading. Thanks again, for thinking of my sweet first graders. Your donation was greatly appreciated!!!”

  • Sphero is My Hero

    Funded Sep 20, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. My students love their new robot Sphero and the two tablets. Sphero has allowed my students to learn to code. Sphero, is a robot that is in the shape of a ball. The students use an app on their new tablets to make programs for Sphero. The programs (codes) that are created by the students allow Sphero do tricks, roll in all different directions, change colors and speeds.

The most exciting thing about Sphero is the amount the students have learned while using the new technology. This robot has taught the students how to make their own programs. This makes the learning individualized for all the students. This results in the students never having to worry about how well they can operate Sphero or understand how coding works. The app that the students use has beginner programs already set up, but also has available space for students to create their own programs as they gain new knowledge related to coding. One of my students, absolutely loves Sphero and has already learned to make programs of his own. He is our class Sphero teacher. He has used what he has learned and is taking that information and teaching his classmates how to make programs of their own.

We love Sphero and our tablets and are so thankful for people like you who are willing to donate money to support education!!!”

The students in my classroom are very bright and love to be engaged in all types of learning, especially technology. Most of my students do not have a computer at home to practice daily skills. My school is an "A" school and has been for years. Unfortunately, we do not have all the resources needed to adapt to today's technologically driven educational environment.
