Connecting Our School
Funded Feb 3, 2022Thank you so much for your generous support in funding the camcorder for our school! This addition has truly elevated our ability to bring our school community together, even when we cannot all meet in person. With this new technology, our Town Hall meetings have become more engaging and higher quality, making it easier for students to see and connect with one another. Parents have also commented on how much they appreciate the improved streaming of these events, as it allows them to feel like part of the celebration, even from a distance.
The camcorder has been especially exciting for our students. They love seeing themselves and their classmates in crystal-clear videos during our assemblies and presentations. Our 5th graders are particularly thrilled, knowing that their graduation ceremony will now be streamed and captured in a way that truly reflects the significance of the milestone. For students who have struggled to feel connected over the past few years, this technology has been a way to rebuild those bonds and create lasting memories.
Thanks to your support, we've been able to foster a sense of community and belonging in ways that were difficult before. This project hasn't just provided equipment—it has given our students and families moments to celebrate and treasure. Your generosity has helped bring us closer together, and we cannot thank you enough.”

School Wide Community
Funded Feb 6, 2024I want to express my deepest gratitude for your generous support in providing our school with a microphone, microphone stand, and speakers. These resources have been such a wonderful addition to our assemblies, where we come together as a community to celebrate our students. Thanks to your donation, our Student of the Month ceremonies and Random of Kindness awards now have a whole new level of excitement and professionalism.
The difference these tools have made is incredible. Students can hear every word of encouragement and recognition, making these moments even more meaningful. Seeing the smiles on their faces and hearing the cheers from their peers remind us of how important it is to lift each other up. Your support has truly elevated these events and made them memorable for everyone involved.
Thank you for believing in our school and in the power of celebration and kindness. Your generosity doesn't just provide equipment—it inspires a culture of connection and recognition. We are so grateful for all you've done to make these moments special for our students.”

Mr. Hans Guardado
This classroom project was brought to life by Connecticut State Department of Education.Telescopic View
Funded Dec 1, 2019I want to thank you for your kind and generous donation. My class is composed of 15 wonderful second graders who live in an urban enviroment. While our city has trees and forest throughout, many of our students spend little to no time in it. They do not have a chance to observe and appreciate the natural world. Many don't have chances to notice the wonders in their own surroundings.
The binoculars you helped to provided was a wonderful gift to our class. Outside my classroom window, we have an enclosed courtyard with several trees. I put up bird feeders to draw in birds. And while you can see them with your naked eye, it becomes difficult to look at the topography of the birds and to be able to differentiate between them. With the binoculars, students are able to get a close up view to some of the amazing birds we have observed.
They have learned how to adjust and focus the binoculars, but even better, they have learned to care about their surroundings and their homes. I want to thank you very much for supporting our classroom and for providing the wonderful learning tool.”

Earth Science: Discovering Our Earth's Secrets
Funded Nov 1, 2017From the day the boxes arrived the student were excited. They were curious to see what had arrived in the multitude of packages, yet the fun was yet to come. Throughout the year, each of the containers were opened to share a new adventure in learning. Students were able to figure out that our earth (the continents) had changed by moving over time by using fossil evidence on various manipulable maps!
As we continued through the year, students were able to see a bubbling diagram of the ocean floor. This help them to visualize what effect the moving continents, and thus tectonic plates, had on each other. Finally, a diagram of different various faults and a see through sand fault simulator, allowed the students to see the effects of the tectonic plates moving in our lives.
We recently started talking about rocks and minerals. While we will go into more depth about the properties of minerals, I gave a chance for the students to look at and touch the comprehensive mineral kit that you (the donors) had provided. I wish I could provide better photographs or even a video showing how excited the students were. They were curious and asking me amazing question, some of which I couldn't answer. It was really evident that the materials had made an impact.
The materials you provided help the students to be exposed to new concepts and ideas that help expand and deepen their knowledge base. It made it a lot easier for the students to understand and grasp. We did not have to rely on solely on videos and photographs to teach the students and that made a world of difference. The materials provided helped make the experience fun and enjoyable.
I cannot express my gratitude enough. You helped provided our students with an educational experience that they will not forget and for that I am grateful.”
