• Snacks and Supplies

  Thank you so much for your donations to our classroom! We are able to provide snacks and cooking experiences for our prek students. Scooby Snacks and Cheez-Its are a fan favorite! The plastic gloves will be used for our Thanksgiving feast in November. We love providing an opportunity to work as a class to make food and eat together. Snack time provides lots of opportunities for language development as students feel comfortable sharing life experiences. It also creates opportunities for relationship building which is the foundation of our program.”

• We Love Insects!

  Our students absolutely loved having insects in our classroom! We were able to observe ladybugs, ants, and caterpillars. Insects bring so many learning opportunities from learning about life cycles to becoming scientists. So many vocabulary opportunities! We were able to take our binoculars on our spring field trip to a nature preserve to observe signs of spring. My students were so excited to be able to have their own pair the whole time! We wouldn't have been able to do it without your generous donations. Thank you so much!”

• End of Year Celebration

  The end of year celebration was so much fun! Our soon to be kindergarteners loved the sashes, noise makers and photo background! We couldn't have celebrated without your generous donations. We were able to parade around the school to celebrate the end of prek while the big kids cheered us on. Our parents were especially grateful as they have keepsakes to mark the milestone. We appreciate being able to provide such a special memory for our students. Thank you so much again for your generous donations!”

• Come Read With Me

  Funded Nov 29, 2023

  I am so excited we were able to receive our library furniture! Our students are loving it! Having couches and chairs as an option makes the library much more inviting then just a carpet. I have noticed our students choosing books more than before! books in the hand of prek students are so important. Providing a welcoming and comfortable place to read books allows kids to establish a life long love of reading and learning. I couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity to offer my students a great place to read!”

• PreK Art Supplies

  Art supplies in prek are so important to encourage language and creativity. Our students love supplies like feathers, colored pom poms, 3D foam shapes, craft sticks, cotton balls, etc. They are always so proud of their art work. Our students are always encouraged to use language to tell about what they created and use vocabulary to describe how they made it. We couldn't provide more than basics like glue, markers, and crayons without your help. Thank you for allowing us to teach our students how to bring out their creative side!”

• Cooking Fun!

  We are so excited to have our new refrigerator in our classroom! We will be able to use it to store leftover breakfast and lunch foods for the next day and to store items for cooking. We usually make things like cookies, vegetable soup, pizza, apple pie, butter, etc. This has been a huge help so far this year and we will be able to do these things for many years to come. We can not thank you enough for your donations! When we cook make things in the classroom, our students are exposed to so many skills in all areas of development. We appreciate you!”

• Oh Animals!

  Funded Feb 7, 2022

  I can't thank you enough for your support for our new animal sets! Each set of animals will match with several learning units such as polar animals, ocean, and forrest animals. Students will have the option for animal play in the block center daily and we will use them for various math and literacy activities. With this new addition to our classroom, we are learning to take care of new learning tools and treat them with respect. My students are very proud of their new animal learning tools! • Sensory Play

  I can't thank you enough for your support for our new sensory table! The separation between bins allows for sand and water play at the same time. Students will have the option for water and sand play daily. We will use the sensory table for special messy items such as water beads, shaving cream, paint, etc. With this new addition to our classroom, we are learning to take care of new learning tools and treat them with respect. My students are very proud of their new sensory table. Thank you again for supporting our class!”
