  • We Need Math Manipulatives!

    Funded Mar 12, 2016

Thank you for your donations to our classroom. My students are absolutely thrilled to be able to start using the educational math games and manipulatives this year. They were very excited when the boxes arrived and we've only begun to explore the possibilities with these new materials. I can't tell you enough about how much these materials will benefit my students and their math learning, as well as their curiosity and thirst for knowledge. It is donors like you that make it possible for me to provide my students with the materials they need in the classroom. The students are already actively engaged while exploring all of the new and interesting math activities and materials you've helped provide for them. Thanks again for all of your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Zaworski

My students are in a self-contained middle school special education classroom for students with a variety of disabilities that make it difficult for them to access their grade level academics. Each child has an individual education plan to help them make progress on goals in academics, social skills, communication and functional life skills. About one-third of my students speak English as a second language and every student works significantly below their grade level in all academic areas. My students are very hard workers and try their best to grow and learn in every subject. They are full of boundless energy, curiosity and incredible potential.
