  • Reading Our Way Through History

    My students are using the highligher and post it's to analyse both primary and secondary resources. Currently we are studying industry and immigration in the 8th grade. 7th grade is working on colonization.

    My students love that people care enough to give money to them so we can have supplies. They are excited to to see our next project.

    My 8th graders are excited to see how the issues with immigration and industrialization were solver by progressive leaders like T.R. as well as muckrackets like Upton Sinclair and Jacob Riis.”

My school is a pre-k to 8th grade school. Many of the students I teach have been in the school from age 4. My students are mixed ability levels in both reading and writing. I have 3 autistic classes with students both on and off spectrum. By combining ASD students with non-ASD students we see amazing growth in those with ASD.
