  • Cozy- All Around the World!

    We are so grateful to your generous contribution. Thank you so much! We know that all of these materials will go to great use with our lovely bunch.

    The books help promote cultural diversity, which allows us to teach our students about the power and need for equity in our ever-changing world. We would cannot wait to add these wonderful books to our Mirrors and Windows Baskets in our Classroom Library so that the students can get the chance to explore different cultures and traditions.

    Also, the addition of cozy, weighted, sensory tools will increase engagement as well as help some of the learners stay focused while reading.

    Again, both Mrs. Duggan and I are so delighted to have these products. Thank you for your generosity.”

  • Sweet Seats!

    Thank you so much for your generous donation. These sweet seats have increased the motivation for changing up our spots while learning. The students of 2-322 love to use the various seats. It really makes their learning more exciting and they are equally as engaged.

    The students are given the opportunity to change or use these sweet seats on certain days. Students love choosing these seats during reading and writing activities. It gives them a different way of active engagement. They are love the comfort of learning in a new way. We are so grateful for this wonderful contribution.”

As in most of today's age, most of my students are more engaged when they are able to interact with some type of technology. In the past, when I was able to use the computers for instruction, the children loved it. They were engaged and they were able to use programs which helped improve their fact fluency in mathematics. In reading, they were able to improve their reading levels by using the ebooks or other programs like lexia. I also have a diverse set of abilities in my classroom. All of my students have special needs, and using the iPad or some other digital tool is another incentive that they love. Often many of my students choose this as their reward for when they have done well. However, I am very limited with my technology in my classroom. I have one iPad that my students have to share. Also, it is not so easy to gain access to the computer cart. Therefore, it would be very beneficial and meaningful for my students to have access to more tablets.

About my class
