Reflex Math
Funded Sep 5, 2018Thank you again for such generous donations! I cannot find the words to express our grateful I am that you have taken your time and invested your money into my students. My class was so excited to hear that my project had been fully funded! It is extremely engaging and some of the kids even think it is a game. Reflex is such a wonderful tool helping my fourth graders master their facts. My students look forward to logging onto Reflex and even ask if they can use it at home! They earn certificates to show their achievement and they are so proud when I pass them out each week. I have noticed a significant increase in some of their math facts and truly believe it is from using Reflex. Thank you again for supporting my class! Your generosity means the world to me.”

Funded Sep 15, 2015I cannot thank you enough for your generous donations to my students. Having a document camera in our classroom has been such a wonderful tool this year. As mentioned on the project page, our school focuses on being able to explain your thinking while doing your work and mastering skills. This document camera has been a great tool and resource for my students in this area of their learning. Some of my students who were hesitant to participate when they had to verbally explain something, are now able to physically show their work to the rest of the class using this camera. The work is projected and the student is able to become the teacher and show what they were thinking and how they reached their answer or conclusion.
The document camera has been very beneficial in all subjects. In math, students are able to show sample or example problems to the other students. This has been great because there is often more than one way to reach an answer in math and my students are able to teach each other strategies that are successful for them. In reading or writing, this document camera has been great to show model work, teach students how to find evidence of their answers in the text, and model the expectation for note taking and open response questions.
It is amazing to see how excited my students are when using the document camera and showing their work off to the class. This technology is such a great resource for the kids, and it is obvious how much they appreciate it. Thank you again for supporting my class!”
