These materials are usually available for the students to read and learn from in their hands... at school. Students will be able to supplement my lesson as I teach about standards such as compare and contrast, main idea, and key details. Getting students engaged can be a challenge but these magazines really capture the students' attention. I want to give this year's third graders the same learning opportunities as the students in the past, the students who could pick up a magazine at school. By sending these to my students digitally I can do just that! The learning continues!
