I will be instructing my students based on their different learning styles (vision, auditory, and tactile) during differentiated grouping. The stationary bikes allow student who are tactile learners to use body movement as they concentrate on the skills being practiced during whole group and small group instruction. The ability to manipulate objects provides for hands-on learning of the necessary skills my students need to be successful in the subject of math. The chart paper, pencils,and markers will provide visual stimulation that enables students who need to see learning take place via math talks, etc., make connections to the lecture. The books will give my auditory learners an opportunity to make connections to math during the math read aloud. Being able to provide my students with opportunities to interact with math materials that include a variety of chances to learn new skills as well as review old ones is one of my goals. I also want students to have unlimited occasions to collaborate with their classmates in a positive and academic way.
