  • Read, Read, Read

    Funded Dec 7, 2023

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the donations that you have given to our classroom. These books will provide our students with endless imaginations and comics to keep them entertained and INTO reading. The kids were so excited to see these books and get their hands on them. There is no greater feeling of a fresh book with crisp pages. These books will be used daily, as our school implements Drop Everything and Read throughout the day. Students are eager now to have their reading period, where they have books that they can actually read and enjoy reading.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Uddin

  • Fresh Year

    Funded Oct 30, 2023

We truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your contribution in our classroom. The students were so excited to receive their donations, they could not believe that someone gave us these items for zero cost. The students will use their new folders to put in their completed classwork. They will use the construction paper to create new art projects and display their work on the bulletin board. The headphones will allow each child to have their own individual set. Many kids did not bring in supplies this year and your donations helped fill in that void.

    Thank you,”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Uddin

  • Games for Mental Health

    Funded Feb 9, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations. The students were elated to see their gifts and the curriculum that has been added to the classroom. You should have seen the look on their faces! Through your donations, we were able to acquire games such as Chess, Janga, and UNO to help promote mental health in the classroom. These games will help us bond and create a positive atmosphere for learning. These games will promote team building skills, critical thinking, and another outlet for students to express themselves. The first lesson we are going to teach is how to use the pawns in chess, we are going to learn about how the game of chess was evolved. I am so delighted to embark on this new journey with my students. Thank you, Thank you.”

  • Look Who's Drawing Now

    Funded Feb 3, 2023

Thank you Donors for your generous donations. Our students are now using the new resources to create innovations in the classroom through their drawings and imaginations. Each child is provided with unlimited supplies of crayons, pencils, erasers, and pens. These items are sometimes taken for granted, but the fact of the matter is that these supplies are finished rapidly. Many times students do not have replenishment for pencils and crayons, which then leads to them having to use crayons that are broken, and not properly working.

The students were so thrilled to see the donations that they have received, they wanted to dive into creativity right away. This filled my heart with gratitude, gratitude to each and everyone of you who donated. The next project the students will be working on is their March of Black History Month, and they are thrilled for their new updated supplies. I can't wait for the endless possibilities.”

  • Keep Science Alive!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you for your donation of Science. Your donation has allowed us to purchase an entire unit on the Human Body and health. Each child has been provided with hands on activities and information to help develop a better understanding of Science and the human body. The students were so excited to receive their donations, and they are even more excited to learn. Having these models of the human body, enables the children to grow in their curiosity and to be motivated to learn more. The students have questioned the new concepts they are about to learn, and they are even more excited to get started on the unit. Thank you for your contributions, and for helping us educate the future of tomorrow.”

  • Basic Needs Not Wants

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your donations to our classrooms. The students were super excited to receive the boxes and were filled with excitement. Your donation allows for children to have access to folders for all of their projects. The students will now have paper to help fund their art work. The easel markers will help provide access for students to use their white boards in math. That is one of their favorite things to do, but wipe off markers can be expensive, but thanks to you every child will have access to their dry erase markers for the entire school year. The lego set will also be a fun addition to add to our stem programs in the classroom.”

  • Squeaky Clean

    Funded Dec 16, 2020

Thank you Donors for your tremendous donation for the students. At this time I have received the shipment at my personal address because schools are currently closed until further notice from the Mayor. However, these items will be preciously stored and readily available once the school reopens. Thank you for providing us with the material we need to keep our class environment clean. At this of uncertainty, all we can do is reassure the students of our health and safety. We must maintain diligence in cleaning and have social distance. The alcohol wipes will be used to disinfect the desks and computers after every use. We will use the clorox to help further disinfect during after school hours. The soap will be useful because we will always have soap readily available without waiting for supplies.”

In this project I would like to get supplies to keep our classroom clean and prevent viruses . We do our best to keep our school and environment clean but we need additional supplies. Many of our students come from low income families and are not able to purchase these supplies. The coronavirus and other viruses are spreading rapidly . By having Lysol and disinfectant readily available , students can sanitize their environment in a daily basis, aside from the normal cleaning provided by the school. Students are constantly sick and having a sanitary environment will help prevent the spread of diseases .
