From Overheads to Projectors!
Funded Oct 23, 2012This is just a small token of my gratitude and appreciation for your generous donation to help fund the projector in my classroom. We use the projector every single day, and the students are now able to see a math problem and student work samples enlarged. Because of your donation I have been able to also save paper, a huge cost for such big waste.
The students are eager to participate and engaged in conversation because the projector has allowed them to do this. The faces of students whose work is proudly displayed on the screen because of the projector is priceless. Thank you for letting those moments be possible.
Thanks again from all of us. We are truly grateful.”

Funded Jul 25, 2012This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom! We use the document camera every single day in all of our lessons. The document camera has helped all students see visuals enlarged and up close. I've been able to show sample student work and analyze the different parts of a paper. The document camera has promoted collaboration and problem solving skills. Students work together to solve a problem they can now all see. It has also been saving me from wasting tons of paper!
Being able to work together, problem solve, and see the problems clearly as these students prepare for middle school is a skill they all need. To succeed in competitive high schools and middle schools, it is important these children are up to date with different technological tools. This document camera is the very first piece of technology we have in our classroom! Thank you SO very much for making this possible for our classroom!”

Dive Into Reading On A Cozy Couch
Funded Dec 24, 2009Thank you so very much for making it possible to enhance my students' educational experience by funding the reading couch in our kindergarten classroom!
Since the delivery of the couch, my students have been racing to read on it! My students have developed a positive and eager attitude toward reading because they now have a comfy, quiet and charming place to read. Not only has your donation enriched the reading curriculum, but the couch in addition serves as a quiet buddy meeting place, where children share stories, discuss different books, write thoughts and observations on clipboards, and experiment with math manipulatives. Thank you for helping to bring joy, excitement and a love for learning into my classroom. Many thanks again!”

Parachute For A Kindergarten Class
Funded Apr 5, 2009Thank you for choosing to fund "A Parachute For Kindergarteners" proposal. I would like to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to you for your generosity in providing our class and school with a parachute to use for gym. I am ever so grateful for your kindness.
The parachute that you have donated has helped my students every single day. My students are thrilled to use the parachute. We have used the parachute to strengthen hand-eye coordination, improve motor coordination, listening skills, and learn to work and cooperate as a team. The parachute has been used throughout the school, to even incorporate whole grade and whole group activities.
Because of you, the students have also had the opportunity to develop a better sense of rhythm and strengthen their social interaction skills. More specifically, it has helped to enhance their language development, which is significant for so many of our early English language learners. Please know that you have helped to contribute to my student's love for cooperative group play and learning. ”

Funded Feb 17, 2009This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation. The musical and educational movement CD's that you have donated have helped my students every single day. We've used them to explore imagery while writing poetry, to regroup and focus after a rainy day and indoor recess, to experiment with different yoga poses, and to relax and enjoy the sounds of music.
As a first year charter school, budgeting and resources can be limited, so without your help, my students would have never had these vital resources. Especially at this young age, early learning through movement, exercise, and hands-on activities helps to develop hand-eye coordination, balance, and gross motor skills.
We are overwhelmed with appreciation and gratitude for your generous donation. From all of us, thank you so very much. ”

Ms. Rizzo
