  • Computer for Virtual Instruction

    Funded May 7, 2021

Thank you so much for helping me to purchase a computer for virtual instruction. I realize this thank you is a few years late, but I wanted to let you know that I used the computer that you helped me to purchase for a full year of virtual instruction. Because of you I was able to use a reliable device daily that did not crash during lessons. It was easy for students to understand me and to follow along with their lessons.

Once we were back in person fully, I was able to do lesson planning and to even complete numerous trainings online. The trainings that I was able to take were invaluable for my practice as a teacher. I was able to complete my Montessori Teacher Certification virtually and I even took an 80 hour training on the Science of Reading that has really made a difference in my students learning. Your contribution not only made a big impact on the students that I had for virtual learning, but also on all of the students that I've had since then. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

  • Animals Around the World

    Funded Jul 6, 2021

In my Montessori classroom all of our activities are hands on. These animals were used in our continent boxes. Students had the opportunity to study the various continents and explore the animals that live there by placing them on the map in the region that they belong. My class loved this activity! They enjoyed learning the names of the different animals and all about those animals.

Thank you for helping me to provide a fun and exciting way for my students to learn about the world. We appreciate you.”

  • Artistic Expressions

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you so much for helping to bring art to my classroom. Students loved learning about Alma Woodsey Thomas and doing art work in the same style. They also enjoyed reading about Frieda Kahlo and making their own self portraits. And, of course, they also loved creating their own works of art. These art materials that you provided us with are invaluable to my class.

At my school we have PE and music class, but teachers are responsible for creating and teaching their own art lessons. This school year I was able to do that in a fun creative way because of your donation. Thank you.”

  • Colorful Materials for at Home Learners

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations. You gave at a time when we needed so much and we appreciate you. Your donation allowed me to print off various activities for students to use at home. As you may have noticed in the pictures that I posted I printed off language lessons for the students. For example they had a beginning sounds sort and they also matched cvc words to the picture.

When students are always working with things in black and white it really gets repetitive and quite boring. Having these brightly colored pictures to work with not only made each lesson look different it also added to their engagement during our online learning sessions.

Thank you, you really made a difference for the students in my class this school year.”

  • End of Year Fun!

    Funded Jun 16, 2022

I am so excited to end this school year on a high note. All of my kindergarteners will receive items to use over the summer to continue learning and we also have some fun things for the last week of school. Thank you so much. Your help is greatly appreciated.”

  • Books for Budding Readers

    Funded Oct 26, 2020

Thank you so much for all of your help and your generous contributions. This project allowed us to purchase books for each student in our class for our author study of Donald Crews. Students were able to learn facts about Crews in class and to also go home and read his books with their family. This allowed them to explore several different kinds of his work. They also had the opportunity to explore for themselves how to be an author and an illustrator. We appreciate all you have done for us.”

  • Listening and Learning

    Funded May 7, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. This project was for headphones for every child in my class. Now my students will be able to listen to and enjoy stories in the listening center. They will also be able to complete their online lessons without distractions. Thank you, I appreciate your help.”

  • Creating Young Artists

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for your support. My students love art! Since we are all virtual the focus has been on math and reading, but the arts are also very important for all children. These materials have given students the opportunity to express themselves artistically through painting, drawing, writing, and music.

The musical instruments have added even more fun to their music class. Students are even more engaged and excited to participate. I have posted a few pictures to give you an idea of their work, but that does not compare to the joy they experienced from being able to create it. Thank you.”

  • Supplies to Celebrate Diversity in our Community

    Funded Sep 7, 2017

I appreciate your help in making this project come to life. My students were so happy to learn about different cultures and people of differing abilities. We read many of the books from this project as a class then they were put in the classroom library for children to explore on their own.

The costumes from this project encouraged dramatic play all school year long. Students had the opportunity to see themselves as doctors, mail carriers, police, and construction workers regardless of their race or gender. They loved seeing the possibilities of what they could become in the future. Thank you.”

  • Early Literacy Success!

    Funded Sep 17, 2020

I cannot thank you enough for help with this project. My students read these books on a daily basis. It is hard for beginning readers to read solely on the computer. These books have allowed them to have more books in their home as well as books in hand that they can read over and over again. I wish you could see the joy on their faces as they are learning and begin to see themselves as readers.

All of my students also received tactile letters which we used to learn letters sounds. We have also used these letters to recognize the letters, learn to spell, and to learn to identify beginning and ending sounds in words.

Thank you. I truly appreciate your help in bringing this project to life.”

Kindergarten is a very important year for children. I would like to bridge the gap between Pre-K and kindergarten by providing students with numerous hands on learning opportunities. The games that I have chosen help students to learn their letters, recognize and spell words and become readers. These materials will be the perfect complement to the curriculum and books that students will be working with on a daily basis in my classroom. These activity centers and file folder games that I have chosen will make learning fun for all of the children and help them to be excited about coming to school every day. Students will be playing these games daily while they work in their literacy stations. They will have the opportunity to choose the game that is a the right level for them and to play independently or with a friend.
