The rug I have selected has enough squares so that when we are doing a whole class read aloud each student will be able to have their own square to sit in and stretch out so that they can be comfortable in. This is so important for students in second grade to be have a sense of belonging. My second graders love to read, so much that they have worn out our classroom rug. During independent reading time, the students will be able to select a book to read and go to the rug to read. Just imagine seeing a student laying on the rug with their book in hand and they are engaged in their book, smiling as they are reading. Thank you so much for reading, I hope you will consider donating to my project. Have a great day!
