  • Yoga Mats for Mindfulness

    Funded Dec 18, 2019

Thank you so much for the yoga mats. Bryant is so excited to start practicing mindfulness in the classroom. This is a great opportunity to allow Bryant children to express themselves appropriately in and outside the classroom. Again, thank you so much! We are so grateful for your generous donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hanson

This classroom project was brought to life by Townsend Press and one other donor.
  • Math Centers

    Funded Sep 22, 2019

Thank you for donating to my classroom! The kids are so excited to receive hands-on math manipulatives and comfy library pillows!

I explained to them what they were getting last week and they cheered with excitement.

We are struggling with one-to-one counting correspondence and the new centers will make a huge difference!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hanson

  • Learning Rug

    Funded Aug 6, 2016

    Dear Donors,

I cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to my classroom. I can assure you it is used frequently and is greatly appreciated by my students!

Last week, while learning about graphs, we had the opportunity to use the carpet as a kinesthetic learning opportunity. Students were able to get out of their seats and choose their favorite ice cream flavor. We used the different colored squares on the carpet as choices for the students. Then, with the help of the colored squares, we created a human graph. It was a very powerful and enriching experience for the students, one that really got them thinking about graphs from a different perspective! Of course, this was all made possible by your generosity and kindness for my Kinder students.

We love the rug very much! It has made such an enriching and positive impact on my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hanson

Having a designated spot for my students to sit together and share their thinking is vital for their young minds. We will use this rug when reading stories, solving mathematical problems, and participating in classroom culture meetings. Giving low-income students the opportunity to sit together and share ideas is an investment in their social and academic futures. This project will be used everyday and will encourage students to be apart of a calm and friendly learning environment. It will create a meaningful difference in the lives of my students and allow them to talk to one another and think critically about what they are learning each and everyday.
