iPads are emerging in the media industry as a tool for learning and creativity. It would be wonderful for my students to have the experience of using them in an academic and collaborative way while learning. These iPads and accessories will be used to teach and reinforce reading and math skills as well as writing using different techniques. They will allow students to practice skills and enhance their knowledge of technology. iPads will inspire creativity in my students and help them build their skill sets. I plan to use the iPads for three main purposes: to encourage and teach technology use, to develop literacy skills through online reading materials, and to interest students in an increasingly growing computer science. Students will be able to access thousands of online books they otherwise may not be able to obtain. The iPads will help the students produce a variety of projects that showcase storytelling and technical skills. They will give them real-world experience and critical thinking. This will help them to be well rounded in their skill sets.
