  • Come Hungry Leave Happy

    Once again thank you so much for your thoughtful and generous donations.

    My students shouted with joy when the boxes where delivered to my classroom and they assisted in bringing the things out of the boxes. Each child took out an item of preference then held unto it with excitement as their faces lit up with joy

    During break time the students were able to make a choice selection from the snacks and then eat joyfully. I did informed my students that they will be able to take a snack home daily.

    At snack time my students sat together in an area in the classroom as they socialized with one another and were able to self advocate for themselves by making choices of their snack preferences.

My student have been diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder as their primary disability. My campus is a Title 1 campus and culturally diverse resulting in a high population of immigrants student that are English language learners. Through the use of visuals, manipulatives and technology, it assists my scholars be able to communicate more, reduce frustrations and behavior outbursts and generalize skills learned in various settings.
