Engineering and Robotics with First Lego League Jr.

Funded Nov 27, 2018

The 3rd grade thanks you for your generosity in helping us fund our LEGO First Robotics program. Every week our students have been working with their WeDo 2.0 kits in order to learn, problem solve, and show their creativity. They have been exploring what it would take to live on the moon and different problems they might face, and therefore need to solve. They have been using their kits in order to show their work. In addition these kits have been a great tool that has started to expose them to coding and programming.

When the students were first informed about this project they were beyond excited. Technology plus LEGOS was more than they could have wished for! The first day they saw and worked with their new kits the room was buzzing. Every student in the room was engaged and ecstatic to be working with the new materials.

We are just about wrapping up the robotics program for this school year. The kids are finishing up building their moon bases and creating their "show me" posters. Once that is finished our school will be holding an expo in May so all the student who participated can show off their work throughout the program. They'll present what they have learned and built with their teammates to other teachers and students in the school.

We thank you so much for the opportunity you have provided for our students. It is something they will never forget!”

With gratitude,

Ms. Sapienza
