Hello - I am a veteran teacher for students with Learning Disabilities. These students are creative, out of the box, curious, divergent thinkers. I have recently returned to teaching in Chicago Public Schools from teaching in Canada where technology for students is emphasized and supported financially by the Ministry of Education. Students in Canada have access to cutting edge speech to text and text to speech assistive supports to ensure that students with learning disabilities can excel in higher order inquiry and problem solving tasks. I want my students to be able to show their strengths, innovative thinking and creativity instead of being faced every day with assignments that they are not able to read but that they could easily understand, master and create masterful projects based on the curriculum.
