    Funded Apr 25, 2022

    Dear John,

On behalf of my fantastic students at P811Q I would like to thank you for your very generous donation to our classroom. When students do good work their reward is being able to use the oculus which has opened a whole new world for all of us!

We are all extremely thankful for your support which will be helpful for other classrooms and hight school students at 811Q because we will be sharing the oculus. I hope you can see the pictures and thank you cards from my students.

P811Q provides vocational training to special needs students from low income households in a self contained setting. At present we have over 200 students enrolled and your donation really helps promote a positive educational experience.”

  • Our Students Need Safety Shoes!

    Funded Dec 3, 2018

My students and I would like to thank you very much for helping to fund our donors choose project. Our students are involved in community-based, vocational instruction. We go out into the community to work at places like Applebee's, Panera, and Stop and Shop and learn about vocational training.

The safety shoes will help my students understand what they need to be active participates in the work force and protect them from slipping and falling while engaged in their vocational activities.

Each student now has their own shoes instead of using shoes from last year's class. The shoes you have given us have brought many smiles!

    Thank you”

    With gratitude,

  • Learning Through Technology

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

I can hardly contain the excitement my students and I have had over the past few days. The MacBook Pro that you donated is helping my students each day. We use it to learn new words, develop writing and speech skills, and build cognitive levels that so many students require assistance with.

The best part is they are learning and having fun at the same time. All of this could not have happened without your very generous donation.

Thank you so very much for the wonderful gift you have give to a very special group of fantastic kids.”

  • Children With Autism Need Headphones

    Funded Apr 2, 2012

Today our room was very quite. Adam, Zachary and Jacky were working on math programs on the computer. Kevin was listening to a book and Alan and Nicholas were watching multiplication videos. It was amazing. Each of them were able to concentrate on what they were doing and they were all so focused on what they were learning.

I can't begin to thank you for these headphones. They have made a huge difference in our classroom. My students love them and are learning so much more because they are focused and have little distractions.

The big round table is terrific. Our old table rocked back and forth. This nice, clean new table allow”

  • My Students with Autism Need New Clean Supplies

    Funded Feb 24, 2010

    Hi everyone,

All the materials arrived last week. I can't tell you how excited all the kids were. They were jumping up and down when the "three" boxes arrived. I'm not much of a photographer but I did my best. The pictures really don't express how much you have done to further their education and make learning "fun".

The verbal students kept asking where all the presents came from! I explained that they came from friends who cared a lot about them.

I'm just so grateful to you for your generosity. I hope you can really understand how much we all appreciate what you have done. You're helping some terrific kids learn to read, write and do math with games, and hands on materials that work with their different learning styles.

My students and I sincerely thank you.”

  • We Need Some Magic Carpet Time

    Funded Jan 13, 2010

I could not wait to write to let you know how excited all my students have been about the new carpet. They can't wait for me to say it's time to read so they can go to their assigned carpet area and get comfortable with their favorite book!

We also play games on the floor and do other types of instruction. Now when we are all on the floor it's warm and fun. The carpets are thick and very comfortable. They really brighten up the whole room.

Your gift has inspired them and brought new life, comfort and structure to our class. We can now say, "let's meet on the pond carpet, let's meet on the green carpet, etc. This really helps break up our small classroom and provides clear direction.

I can't express how much we appreciate your donations.

I sincerely thank you for your generous gift and want you to know that you have brought so many smiles to a terrific group of kids.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Heichman
