My students are motivated, hard-working 5th graders who show great enthusiasm for exploring their world through technology. They are eager to use technology in any capacity, but don't always have the resources available when needed. I want my students to be able to use the tools they'll need for the future, without having to wait for our one computer lab time a week to come around. I would like to encourage and facilitate their development in the STEM topics by making Chromebooks available in our classroom. Our class consists of a wide variety of academic abilities as well as a large number of English learners. The use of Chromebooks will allow me to differentiate my teaching to not only meet the needs of students at grade level, but also to allow for reteaching and intervention for below-level students, as well as enrichment for above grade level students.
