I am requesting a variety of technology to help improve my visually impaired students' lives.
Students who are visually impaired have to work twice as hard as their peers to compete in the academic setting.
My students can utilize an iPad to view the board and magnify print. The iPad is a crucial teaching aid for real time access to information with disabled and non-disabled peers in their natural learning environment.
The Lenovo cases will be used with the previously purchased ThinkPads. These cases will ensure the students are able to use the ThinkPads for years to come. The ThinkPads allow the students to enlarge text or have the text read to them via picture recognition.
iPads in the classrooms for students with visual impairments provide easy access to daily life information that is vital for academic success and independence in and outside of the classroom.
The long iPad chargers will allow the students to use their iPads at a longer distance from the power source.
The screws will be used to help with maintenance on students' glasses. The mouthwash will be used to distribute to the students who have limited hygiene materials.
The glue will also be distributed to the students to use in the academic setting. The lens wipes will be given to the students who wear glasses to ensure their glasses are clean.
