Hello, Our school is located in Northeast Charlotte in a well established residential neighborhood bordered by a commercial district. Shamrock Gardens is a Title1 and a partial LI/TD magnet. In an effort to create a culture of reading for my student my goal is to provide inspiring books to disadvantaged students. I would like to create a classroom library as part of a literacy-rich environment. I would like a core collection of 300 to 600 books (10-20 books per student), with new books added routinely to spark interest. For many of my students a good book offers the ultimate escape and I am asking for your help to make my goal possible. Everyone deserves a chance to read.
