Our 1st grade classroom is active and engaging! We are a full class of 32 excited kids and teacher. All my students are incredibly bright and have great ability to achieve. After meeting these students I could tell instantly their desire to learn and their desire to be at school. These students may need a little bit more help though. We are a Title 1 school. We are a school of improvement and all students and staff are working hard. We also have 100% of our students on free lunch because we are one of the highest poverty schools. With poverty can sometimes come a disadvantage and can sometimes be difficult to stay focused in class. I hope to make this year engaging and safe for my students. With limited technology in many of these students homes I hope to add technology into their daily lives. iPads in the classroom will enhance their learning and through activities that will challenge each student in a personal way.
