Creativity and Critical Thinking in our Flexible STEAM Lab
Funded Aug 31, 2022These new materials have been a great addition to our STEM room!
With the new bins we were able to organize all of our STEM materials. This way teachers/students can locate anything they need for their STEM activities/experiments.
We were also able to use the magnets and create an interactive board where students can complete math activities according to their grade level and state standard.
In that same area students can use the magnetic coins which have been a great hit! They are able to move them around, count and add. Big coins just seem to make things more fun!
We have also been able to organize the ipads that K-2 students use. Now, students know they can just checkout /borrow an ipad that is charged and ready to go.
Students in 1-5th have also loved the new flexible seating that your donation has provided. They have also used them as a calming area which is an added bonus.
Thank you so much for your donation. Our students have been enjoying all the new materials!”

Funded Sep 10, 2015Thank you so much for your very generous donation to our classroom! The 2 i pads and cases are used every day and my students are so excited when they engage with this technology during our math and science centers!
During math centers the students get to use different math apps like multiplication bubble, decimals pirates, IXL and Think Through Math. We have also used the i pads to research different topics for science fair and have even used it to research universities during college week!
What is most exciting to the children is the fact that they can research topics on their own. When they find information about an interesting topic, they rush to let me know all about it. They also love the multiplication games and how they can keep count of their score. I had never seen them so exited about multiplication!
Since many of my students don't have this technology at home, they are learning valuable technological skills. They have even asked to use the i pads during recess when it gets to cold to go outside. I love watching them play and learn using technology. Thank you so much for bringing this technology into our classroom. ”
