The classroom is comprised of 12 students with a variety of special education qualifications that are from the entire school district. My students spend most of their day with me and my two assistants, and are mainstreamed into general education classes for PE and various other subjects that are beneficial to each student. We work on academic standards to move each student closer to their general education peers. During the week we also have a lot of fun working on social skills, turn taking, problem solving, fine and gross motor skills, we even do a cooking project once a week. My students are funny, smart, caring, hard workers who are eager to learn.
