Our school is located in rural North Carolina. Even though our school is equipped with a media center that has around twenty five computers, a computer lab and three carts with twenty five netbooks each, it is hard for teachers to have access to computers regularly. We basically "fight" over checking out the computers and the amount of time we can keep them in the classrooms. My students are part of a 60% free and reduced lunch school. I feel that our kids have limited access to the cultural and physical world beyond their county, but they are excited learners. They want to see the world and the diversity in it and they want to be prepared for what is ahead of them after graduating from high school. My learners have big hearts and are willing to experience interactive ways of learning the Spanish language and its cultures.
