My students are divided into teams of 4-5 students. This grant would afford my students to add a technology group to their small group instruction allowing them to read and research online texts. An example is a project my class does on jaguars. They compare two to three sources and research images for a book they write themselves. The use of the Chrome books would expand the options my 3rd graders would have to get excited about vibrant images and detailed information about the jungle life of these big cats. They would use the Chrome books to write their final drafts and submit their documents to publish their work. This would also help support students who require audio text to be read to them meeting their developmental needs. Our classrooms do not have the resources to meet the technological needs our students need for reading, writing, and researching.
