  • Earthquakes in the Early Morning: Putting Books in Hands

    Funded Feb 1, 2024

Thanks so much for donating Earthquakes in the Early Morning to my wonderful students! They loved having their own books to read as we worked on building comprehension skills as well as a love for reading. After seeing how much they loved reading their first Magic Treehouse book (Polar Bears Past Bedtime), I was so excited that I was able to give them the opportunity to read another one from the series! Many of my students were so engaged in the story, that they begged to read on to the next chapter after we finished the lesson each day. Now that we have finished reading the novel as a class, I have a few students who have asked to borrow the book to take home to read again with their families as well as many who are looking for other Magic Treehouse books to read in our classroom and school libraries.

Thank you for supporting my students in developing a passion for books and allowing them to each have text in hand. This has helped them take ownership of their learning and develop skills that will be needed no matter where their path takes them in life. I am very grateful for your generosity and support!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Clark

  • Sensational Science Centers!

    Funded Feb 21, 2012

Thank you again for your generous donation to my classroom. The materials you have supplied us with have helped encourage my students become more scientifically literate by allowing them to investigate and make discoveries using hands on materials. The Color Discovery Tubes, Sink&Float Exploration Kit, and Magnets Discovery Kit all have structured activities that my students can do independently while enhancing what they have already learned in class. Our current unit of study is Things That Grow, and the students have all been fascinated at seeing exactly how a seed grows by observing them in our Window Greenhouses. They also loved watching the Dinosaur Plant come back to life, and are enjoying experimenting with what happens to it when we stop watering it, and then water it again. It's so nice to know that I now have enough materials to incorporate science in all our units of study. Since our school district is facing a budget shortfall, there will be less instructional money for the classrooms. Thanks to you, my students now have resources that will encourage their scientific thinking skills, such as making predictions, experimenting, then contemplating those results, while also making it an enjoyable experience for them.

We are so blessed to have generous supporters like you.”

  • Little Painters Need Your Help

    Funded Feb 24, 2012

Thank you again for your generous donation to my classroom. The children were thrilled to receive the Space-Saver Mobile Art Center. They are so excited to know that they have opportunities to paint every day and don't have to worry about their beloved paint center disappearing one day.

Our school district is currently facing a budget shortfall, which means less instructional money for the classrooms. Thanks to you, my students now have a resource that encourages their creativity as well as strengthens their fine motor skills.

Our schools benefit greatly from generous supporters like you.”

  • PreWriting for PreKindergarten

    Funded Mar 10, 2009

Thank you again for your generous donation to my classroom. The materials you have supplied us with have helped my students make great strides in their writing skills. The popcorn forks have helped them with their hand strength, as well as holding writing tools with the proper grip. The motor shapes and motor skills boards have assisted me with teaching them basic prewriting strokes that have already helped many of them with proper letter formation. And the Draw and Write Touch Board has motivated many of my students to write letters and numbers. Those who had previously shown no interest in drawing or writing, especially my students with autism, now think it's fun and beg to use the board!

Since our school district is facing a budget shortfall, there will be less instructional money for the classrooms. Thanks to you, my students now have resources that will help them master important prewriting skills, while also making it an enjoyable experience for them.

We are so blessed to have generous supporters like you. ”

  • Meeting the Needs of Exceptional Learners

    Funded Mar 4, 2009

Thank you again for your generous donation to my classroom. All the materials have helped my students with their fine motor skills. The sequencing set, pattern blocks, and Get a Grip Patterns have helped me to teach my students patterning, as well as shape identification. And the dressing frames have assisted some of my students in mastering the skill of tying their shoes!

Our school district is currently facing a budget shortfall, which means less instructional money for the classrooms. Thanks to you, my students now have resources that will help them master important skills they will need throughout their lives.

I teach a prekindergarten inclusion class of 15 students in a Title 1, low income school. In order to be accepted into our program, each student went through a screening process and all have been deemed "educationally at-risk". In addition, I also have students with autism and severe developmental delays. Many of my students come from low-income families and qualify for free or reduced lunch.
