My students in my English I Academic class are 15% Hispanic, 40% black, 25% white and 20% mixed race. They are fantastic students who struggle with reading comprehension and do not like to read. I hope to change that. The school is predominantly white, middle class. It is known as a school of excellence and I am fortunate to teach there. My own children attend the school as well.
