Reflections of Me
Funded Mar 24, 2023My students are in love with all the books we now have access to. They love seeing characters that reflect them. They are learning more about their culture and building more pride in themselves.
These books have influenced us to grow and want to explore more books. This class has an on going love of for Black History and this has grown exponentially since we have gained access to these books.
We are able to learn more about other cultures to celebrate our diversity. Also, these books are supporting us emotionally by showing different point of views. We appreciate the opportunity to grow in so many ways through literature.”

Hands-on Math for Everyday Skills
Funded Dec 15, 2021Thank you so much for support our learning. Because of you all we are able to learn math with hands on learning. My students are very excited to be able to learn these skills this way. We really are enjoying using those kits to reinforce skills that are new this school year, like multiplication and division. Also, we are enjoying reviewing old skills and seeing them in a new light. I have really enjoyed personally being able to pick this material up and not use a lot of planning time that is needed in other areas. We are so grateful for this gift of achievement.”

The Love of Science
Funded Mar 29, 2017Thank you so much for this donation. We have done more than one experiment in our classroom using these kits. We plan on using these kits more throughout the school year. This experiment posted was our study of volcano's. We used lemons as a model to make a volcano. We used the containers to add baking soda. We used the food coloring to color the lava. We had a great time watching this chemical reaction and to see how a volcano works. We have had tons of fun learning how the world works around us. This experiment has sparked much curiosity for future experiments and exploration. Thank you for helping us grow and learn.”

Funded Aug 20, 2017Hello, I just wanted to say thank you for our book boxes and our book sets. The children can not seem to put them down. Every time I go to the library and look in the box for the books it is empty because the children are reading away. We really needed some new books to read and a space saving way to store them. I am so grateful for the gifts you all have provided for my classroom. The students show me and and tell me daily how much they enjoy reading these books. Even if the books are hard for them to read they are working toward being able to read them. Even other staff members are enjoying how I store the students books. It is easy for the students to pick up their boxes and leave with them to go with another teacher to work. Thank you so much for your support and helping us become lifetime readers.”

Growing LifeTime Readers
Funded Apr 8, 2017We have fully enjoyed these books. We have extended the reading into science and social studies projects. We have learned about plants. These books have furthered our learning about fairy tales and other reading skills. These books will help us on future assessments and just the pure joy of reading. The children also love to lay on the carpet and read the books themselves. We are really enjoying these books. These books will help more children for years to come. We all say thank you. We are truly grateful for the gift you have given us.”
