All About Real World Math!
Funded Dec 17, 2013Thank you so much for this invaluable gift of Math reading you are giving my students! I can't wait to share with them a monthly magazine that they will enjoy reading. It is important to give students different genres of literature and because I only teach math and science, I now can provide something that is useful to what I am teaching in the classroom. It is difficult to find updated reading about math that students can make a real world connection to! I can't wait to receive the subscription!
Once again thank you!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Wilsey
This classroom project was brought to life by West Coast Florida Kia Retailers and 3 other donors.Hot Dots Math
Funded Apr 14, 2011I wanted to thank you for your donation of Hot Dots Math for my classroom! When I showed the students what we got they stood up and cheered as they already are familiar with Hot Dots Language Arts activities that they get to do during reading time.
The impact of having activities such as Hot Dots is that it is a review of concepts that have already been taught in the class. The students get excited to use the Hot Dot pen as it is a different way to perform the activity as well as get immediate feedback if they got the problem correct or not. Anything that is new always gets the student re-motivated to learn again! My students are excited once again due to your donation.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Wilsey
Stories Out Loud
Funded Apr 8, 2011Thank you so much for being a part of donating a listening center for our classroom! I wanted to let you know how excited the students were when I showed them our new listening center. They could not wait to start using it. It was the perfect thing to introduce toward the end of the year when they are all tested out. It was just what we needed to get them motivated again to read! Now each morning as soon as they enter the classroom asking if they can listen to a chapter in a chapter book or listen to a book that I have already read to the class.
Your donation has made such an impact to my love of reading and getting my students excited about reading again!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Wilsey
