My students live in a beautiful, rural community in East County. We are a Title I school, and service special education and ELD students. Our 8th grade team has been implementing STEAM and Design Thinking units that our students have truly enjoyed. Our students asked us for more hands-on real world activities that allow them to take ownership of their learning. We are fortunate because our team is dedicated to shifting our classroom practice. Through this powerful union of student and teacher, we can really shape and lead our students into high demand, global jobs in science, math, and engineering.
