Let's See that Detailed Artwork!
Funded Dec 29, 2017We have been so excited to use our new materials! All of our new things have improved our learning environment, our resources available, and have allowed us to keep our space neat and ready for work!
Our printer has come in handy for so many things - ranging from peer critique sheets to up close and personal examples of master artworks. It's been so great to be able to print out whatever reference materials we need in color. Our laminator has been a huge help in keeping all of our new printed materials safe and ready to use again in the future. And last but not least, our new rags have been a huge help in keeping our classroom clean and cutting down waste in the art room. No more going through rolls of paper towels every time we need to clean up our messes. We love it!

Scissors and Smocks and Art Supplies! Oh My!
Funded Aug 29, 2017Thank you so much for your donation to help fund new supplies in our classroom! We've been thoroughly enjoying working with our new things.
We've used our Sharpies in a ton of different projects including the two pictured. They're so great for adding amazing details to our artwork! Our smocks have helped us keep our uniforms clean and safe while working on paintings. And our new brushes have helped our painting work tremendously! We're able to use our best craftsmanship on every project, paint in the lines, and fill in our whole entire picture.

Funded Feb 24, 2017We've used our materials for so many different projects since receiving them! We used our tempera paints to make beautiful self portraits in kindergarten and first grade. We've used the Sharpies for various projects but I think our very favorite use was for our Underground World. We designed our very own crazy world and used our new Sharpies to trace all of the details!
The students were SO excited about our new things! Especially the Sharpie markers. They absolutely love using them to trace and were begging me for new ones! The tempera cakes were another huge hit! The students love being able to paint with less mess and less clean up!
We will continue to use these materials next year and beyond! We are so excited to have paints that represent each of us for our self portraits. And those Sharpies won't last long because we love them so much but boy have we enjoyed adding detail with them. Thank you so much for your donation! We've truly loved working with all of these supplies!”

Passion for Painting
Funded Feb 29, 2016My students have absolutely loved using their new paints! We've used them in every grade from kindergarten all the way up to fifth. We got to practice making lines with temperas in kindergarten. In first grade we used our watercolors to make a stormy spring painting. Even my older students have joined in on the painting fun! In fifth grade, we used the watercolors and sharpies to make our beautiful one point perspective drawings.
My students have really enjoyed having fresh, new materials to use. We've been working hard to keep these materials in great shape so that we can used them for a long time to come! Thank you all so very much for making our recent paintings a possibility!”

Art Room Rug
Funded Sep 10, 2015My students are loving their new rug! We've been using it every single day in art class. It is a great way to gather as a group to do our learning. We use the rug while learning about art concepts and artists and we use it to watch videos and read books. My students love reading on the carpet. Other than working on their projects, this is probably their favorite classroom activity.
We were all very excited for the arrival of our rug and impatiently awaited it's arrival. My students would not stop asking about when it would get here! It was a wonderful day when we received and were able to start using it. It will be a staple in our room for years to come!
