iLearn in the Classroom

    Thank you so much for your donation! I was able to buy books that are relatable and relevant to my students. We have independent reading in my class and my students often have a hard time finding books to read. These books will get them back to reading! This allows them to make connections to the story and create a deeper understanding of the text. Since my population of students don't love reading, I was also able to get incentives to boost their reading.

    Thank you so much for supporting our team. Most of our players have never played volleyball so lack the fundamental skills. The floor dots will help with foot work to learn how to approach the net. The passing bands will help the girls learn how to pass. The setting net will help the girls to set high for their attackers. In general, all of the materials will help the girls become better athletes.

  • Learning Through Song

    Flocabulary is an online program that teaches skills through music. My students love music and learning through music is one great way to get them motivated to learn new content. Songs come with music videos, and these videos provide animation to also explain the content. It's a great source for musical and visual learners. The program also has resources to help ensure that the material is understood. I use Flocabulary a lot and it really has helped my students develop a deeper understanding of the material.
