Document Camera: Helping All Learners!
Funded Nov 14, 2015Thank you so much for giving to my classroom project. My class contains of 25 students. Because of the class size it is hard for students to see me as I give directions for making foldables, sorting concepts, modeling new concepts, and review difficult questions on assessments. The document camera connects to the Smartboard. This gives students a zoomed in view of what I am doing on a large screen. I am also able to show demonstrations and have it projected to the whole class.
Many student enjoy getting to "be the teacher" and model for others how to do problems. Also students enjoy coming up and showing their writings, and projects on a big screen. Students love being able to have all of their classmates see their work unclose, and having the ability to share on a large screen.
Many of my students are in need of glasses, but don't currently have any. Having the document camera allows me to project what I am showing them. Students can see what I am doing on the Smartboard screen instead of me just standing in front of them. This helps for students to be able to see me from all over the room. Also less students strain their eyes looking at small print.
Again, thanks you so much for giving my students the technology they need to be able to learn. We have enjoyed the document camera daily.”

In Social Studies we will have the materials to create projects and make interactive notes for each unit. The donation of these supplies mean the world to me. My students will be so excited to know so many people cared enough to make their education fun and engaging.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart for ensuring that my students have a successful end to the school year! Also, I appreciate your donation as I am given little funding for my classroom. I am overjoyed to know I have the materials to make learning fun!”

Funded Dec 2, 2015Thank you so much for your generous donations! I had tears in my eyes today when I opened my email and saw that my project was fully funded. I am so thankful for your support and gratitude.
My students will surely be ecstatic to find out that our classroom library will be filled with new books and genres to read. Not only that but a comfortable area to enjoy an engaging book. I have been working hard on creating a life long love for reading with my students. The important component is finding the "right book" and "author's voice" for each student. By donating to our classroom collection you are helping students find their reading style. I know this addition to the classroom will have many more students finding themselves lost in a good book.
Again, thank you for your generosity! Our classroom truly thanks you for your compassion.”
