I am a Special Education Teacher, working in a Therapeutic Learning Center (TLC). I am considered to have one of the "most effective" TLC programs in the district. Within this setting are students identified with Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD), ADHD, Sensory Integration Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and a wide array of other disabilities. Academic instruction is at the forefront of everything I do and I provide this instruction in a multi-grade self-contained classroom, serving students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. I believe in building strong relationships through the use of positive behavior interventions, with the goal of inclusion into a general education setting.
