  • We Have The Learning Center Blues, Supplies Greatly Needed!

    Funded Sep 19, 2016

Thank you so much for your kind donations!! It means so much for my class to have the materials needed to make learning fun and unique. Teaching Kindergarten requires lots of hands on and cooperative learning materials for centers. With the lack of funding from our state for classroom supplies, I rely on Donors Choose to help my classroom. It is because of people like you that my kindergrtners have the learning centers they need for cooperative learning and learning through play. Thank you so much. I appreciate your dedication to our public schools and our teachers!”

  • Engaging Math Games Needed for Learning Fun!

    Funded Jun 7, 2014

First of all, I want to say how very thankful I am for you all for helping my class with these needed math games! It is because of people like you, our children are going to be able to receive a great education and have fun learning all at the same time. My kids have loved playing these math games, they even don't realize that they are actually learning math!

Unfortunately our state has been unable to supply ours schools with the needed money to properly fund our classroom supplies. We only receive $100 a year for supplies for our classes. That is only enough money to fund copy paper and construction paper. We have to spend money from our own pockets to allow our students to get what they need in order to learn. This is why Donors Choose and you mean so much to me, my students, and my school. You are wonderful people and I truly feel blessed that you have helped us out. You will never know the impact your donation has provided for my class and I truly appreciate that with all of my heart.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bellamy

  • Nobody's "bored" learning Math with these board games!

    Funded Apr 1, 2014

Thank you so much for all of your kind donations! Because of you all, my project was funded! Unfortunately due to our state and local school budgets, we only receive $100 a year to spend on classroom supplies. I am sure you know that only will buy about to boxes of paper and a few pencils. We never have any funds to purchase supplies like those in my grant for the kids to learn and actually LOVE! It is only because of people like you who donate that they will be able to love math while learning it!

You should have seen the eyes of my students when the package came to our room! When they saw that it was filled with math board games, they were so excited! We immediately opened them up and they enjoyed playing them that very day! I honestly don't think that they stopped for a minute and thought they were learning! Each game is centered around math problem solving! They worked together to answer the questions. It was so wonderful seeing them working collaboratively and having a great time while learning math.

Having this project funded has not only boosted their problem solving skills with math concepts, but has helped boost their confidence in volunteering to solve math problems aloud in class as well. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness. You have brought many smiles to my kids faces!”

I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for your kind donations and help in getting my grant funded for the tablets!! Your kindness and belief in my classroom is truly appreciated! I am blessed to have people like you give to the education of our children! I can't wait to tell my kids about the new tablets we are going to have in our classroom for them to use and explore on! They are going to be so thrilled! We have been exploring new concepts and using new educational apps on the tablets will be very exciting for them! They will also be very excited about having five new pairs of headphones to use with the tablets as well as with our computers. Thank you again for all you do to help enrich the lives of our youth!”

  • Books On CDs Needed to Help Inspire a Love for Reading!!

    Funded Dec 8, 2011

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and help fund my grant. It was because of you my students were able to use the CD players in our listening center. We had the CD players, but did not have books on CD to listen to! Unfortuately, we are only given $100 each school year for instructional supplies. That is enough to purchase some construction paper and copying paper. As you can see through my grant, books on CD are very costly. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. My students truly thank you as well.

  • Pencil Sharpeners GREATLY Needed For Our Writing Success!!

    Funded Dec 12, 2011

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and help fund my grant. It was because of all of you my students were able to write this year with nice, sharpened pencils. It may seem like this is a silly thing, but there is nothing worse than having your children say they don't like to write simply because they have a dull pencil. Unfortuatly, we are only given $100 each school year for instructional supplies. That is enough to purchase some construction paper and copying paper. As you can see through my grant, heavy duty pencil sharpeners are very costly. Cheap ones simply won't work. I want to thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your kind donation. My students truely thank you as well.

  • 21st Century Listening Center Needed To Enhance Literacy!

    Funded Jan 26, 2011

Thank you so much for your kind donation! We are only allotted $100 for instructional supplies per school year. Everything is so expensive and $100 does not go very far. It is only because of people like you that my students have the instructional supplies that they need.

My students now have a wonderful and exciting listening center! The one tape player we had before was SO old and most of the tapes were broken or lost! It was so hard for them to successfully use that center. They are so excited about having their own CD player to take to a special spot in the room and listen to a book on CD. It has especially had a huge impact on my students who have learning disabilities and limited English. They are able to enjoy literature even though they struggle with reading.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and generosity. We truly appreciate it, especially my students.

Thank you again and bless you.

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bellamy

  • Magnetic Letters for Learning Greatly Needed!

    Funded Jul 3, 2008

Thank you so much for your wonderful, kind donation! You have no idea how much this will mean to me and my classes to come! Students love creating words and have had to use letters in the past created with paper and they didn't last. Because of you, they will be able to enjoy learning about words, letters, letter sounds, all with magnetic letters! I appreciate all you have done for us! Thank you again and may God bless! • Classroom Pencil Sharpener Greatly Needed!!

    Funded Nov 22, 2007

Thank you so much for your kind donation! Our class needed a pencil sharpener so bad! Your donation will make such a significant difference in how well my students enjoy writing! It was so hard and frustrating for them to have to write with dull pencils and wait for me to go use another sharpener in someone else's classroom. I am currently on maternity leave and will return back to school on March 3. My students will be enjoying their new pencil sharpener well before I return, however, that is the reason the thank you notes may come to you a little late. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart! It is because of people like you, students will find the love of school they deserve. Alison ”
