  • Help Us Use Art To Explore And Celebrate Different Cultures!

    Funded Oct 30, 2013

Thank you so much for your donation of materials!! We received the materials and are in the midst of creating! The students just learned about story weaving by the Navajo Indians and dream catchers. They are using the yarn you donated to do their own story weaving and dream catchers. They are thrilled to use your donation to do the project! My students and I are extremely thankful and appreciative that you are supportive of learning about other cultures through art. Thank you for understanding and valuing the cultural dimensions and contributions of the arts!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Griffing

This classroom project was brought to life by an anonymous donor and 4 other donors.
  • Urgent! Our Art Exhibition Isn't Possible Without Your Help!

    Funded May 28, 2013

Thank you so much for your donation! I used the black paper you donated to mount the students' artwork and it was displayed beautifully throughout the school during our school's art exhibition. Our students were ecstatic to see their artwork displayed so nicely throughout the school. They took great joy in explaining and discussing their artwork with each other. All of my students acknowledged and appreciated your valuable contribution! The art show was a great success and everybody really enjoyed themselves! Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

  • Please Help Support Our Young Picassos and Van Goghs!!!

    Funded Sep 3, 2012

Thank you so much for your donation! My students were really excited that they got the opportunity to experience painting on watercolor paper. They acknowledged that we don't do as many watercolor painting projects as they want to because we lacked the appropriate paper. Through your donation you have aided our students in expanding their knowledge in art. They create beautiful self-portaits and landscapes. They feel very special and fortunate that there are people who are aware of how important art is to them! My students and I really appreciate your generosity and interest in supporting a valuable and meaningful arts education.”

    With gratitude,

  • Help Us and Be A Part of Our Art Exhibition!

    Funded Jan 31, 2012

This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to the students at my school! We used the paper you donated to mount the students' artwork. Their work was displayed throughout the school and our show was a great success! Our students and our community got a lot out of the whole experience. It was wonderful watching them have in depth conversations about their creations. They were all proud of what they created and were appreciative of your donation. Thanks to your contribution our school looks like a museum and our students feel like famous artists!

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Griffing

  • Who Is Ready To Party?

    Funded Oct 21, 2009

This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The impact that your donation has on my students is incredible. My students still talk about their printmaking project! They are now more comfortable and eager to discuss their artwork with each other. I have also noticed an improvement in their verbal skills and they have become more analytical when discussing art.

Thank you for giving my students an opportunity to expand their horizons. They are very appreciative of you and excited for you to receive their artwork and what they wrote about it. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Griffing

My talented art students are from a high needs public school in NY, in which many of them are bilingual and English language learners. We are very fortunate to have a principal and school that supports the arts. We're also fortunate to have an art program that supports our students in learning English. Unfortunately, as funds get cut, our budget for art supplies suffers greatly. Our students are motivated and eager to become well-rounded artists and individuals; but without proper supplies, they are missing out on valuable experiences fostered by a meaningful art education.
