My classroom has hard tile floors. We need a new classroom rug. I would like a clean, colorful rug that will be warm and inviting for my students. The rug that I have picked is covered in the numbers 1 to 20 and the alphabet.
In PreK, we are seldom in our seats and usually on the floor. We start our day with a morning meeting and end our day with a closing chat on the rug. There is whole group and small group instruction and explorations on the floor. We read and write stories, have class discussions, sing, dance, solve puzzles, build , draw, etc. You name it, we do it on the floor.
