  • Reading to Inspire

    The books have been a great addition to our classrooms. They have already been used many times in the College Prep English classes. Even though the book itself is short, the amount of illustrations and short quotes has made it valuable to all students. One benefit is that all reading levels can access the literature. Low readers are able to connect with high level of analysis because the diction is relevant to all kids. We love seeing how the kids have come up with their own insights, and imbedded the book in their writing.”

  • Pottery Therapy

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

    The use of this kiln has been absolutely excellent for my students. I usually bring in ceramics that are ready for glazing. The students then glaze the items. Usually I have small plant pots for them to work on. The students then are able to plant succulents in the pots. They give them to classroom teachers, parents, and always want to bring them home. The unifying effect of this activity has been very impactful, and I am able to provide an artistic outlet for students that desperately need it. It is exceptional that I can provide a therapeutic activity for kids that would never get to experience. I am constantly getting stopped in the hallway by kids asking "when are we doing pottery again?". Thank you for your support.”

  • Grow Lights For Classroom Plants

    Funded May 17, 2022

    The grow lights have already made in impact on our classroom. First off, the kids are obsessed with the best way to place the lights, and the amount of time the lights should be on. They have developed a new understanding of which plants will need different variations. It has been excellent.

    We are looking forward to using them next school year, and are excited to build up our plant family. There have already been students asking if they can take care of the plants during summer. They have developed a responsibility for the plants, and for nature, which is the outcome we were wanting.”

  • Healing by Writing

    Thank you so much for your amazing donation. We love these journals. It is amazing how something so simple can make such a big impact. The kids do journals every day, and it has made a crucial change in their social emotional health, as well as their formal writing. We have decorated the outside of the journals with art and stickers. We are planning to do a centerpiece assignment that will highlight the student's favorite journal writings. Your gracious donation has made an exciting impact on the kids.”

  • Chromebook for Students With Disabilities

    The Chromebook has made a massive impact with our students. They always love new technology, and this has been a favorite. Many of my students have old and worn out chrome books, and this new one has really helped us keep them motivated. It is used every day, and we really appreciate it. The students are in constant need, and having a reliable source for them to access have been valuable beyond belief. It is used for zoom meetings, science labs, english essays, and research. We are so thankful for you, and your kindness.”

  • Help Students With Visual Disabilities

    This iPad has made an incredible impact for our students through this very difficult time. The students absolutely love having a high quality device to use. We have used it in a variety of ways. The iPad is ideal for zoom meetings, and students have been able to zoom with the iPad and work on their chrome book at the same time. This allows them to have less back and forth actions on the same device.

    The students always gravitate to the iPad for their research, because it is so similar to their phone. It has become a positive reinforcement tool, as well as a technological improvement in our classroom.”

    Thank you so much. This new technology will benefit all students. Kids that can’t keep up with taking notes and listening at the same time will greatly benefit. I will immediately use these notebooks in my Science classes to ensure everyone has equal access to the curriculum. Thank you again.”

  • Touchscreen Laptop for Students With Disabilities

    Funded Sep 10, 2019

    This laptop has been so amazing. The students absolutely love it. The size is great because we have a few students that have visual impairments, and the screen works great. The touch screen is also an amazing feature that has really helped these student out. They can zoom in and out very easily. This is great because we use a lot of google drive worksheets, and online worksheets that are easily enlarged. I have a student using the laptop every period of the day. The Biology and Chemistry students have had the most benefit.”

My students are energetic and involved in school activities. They love music, and hearing themselves. My school is an over performing school with most students falling into the economic disadvantaged category. The students have a great deal of academic support. The students that would most benefit from this project are students with moderate to severe disabilities. These students do not have access to high quality recording programs, or people who understand how to use them.
