My sewing and interior design students will be able to create projects with textiles using quality dressmaker shears designed specifically for textiles. The students need hands on creative projects away from screens and technology that will help them develop other skills and build self efficacy. Being able to adequately cut various types of textiles will enable the construction and sewing students to make soft goods projects such as clothing, sporting goods, window treatments, upholstery projects etc. Being able to adequately cut textiles will enable the interior design students to create mood boards, textile sample cards, color wheel and paint swatch matching activities.
